On the NCIS episode “Scope,” while the team re-examines an ambush on a Special Ops group in Iraq, Gibbs (Mark Harmon) tries to connect with U.S. Marine Aaron Davis. Davis is the lone survivor of the ambush who’s recovering – and being treated for PTSD – at Walter Reed Medical Center. Davis believes he could have done something to save the others. Gibbs does his best to convince him otherwise. It’s an emotional episode.
US Marine Aaron Davis is portrayed by Taye Diggs. And yes, that's Diggs singing “Hallelujah” on NCIS. When not appearing on TV (Rosewood, Murder in the First, The Good Wife, Private Practice, Ally McBeal) and film (The Best Man movies, How Stella Got Her Groove Back), he’s on stage. Last year he took over Neil Patrick Harris’ title role of Hedwig on Broadway. Diggs has also been in Carousel, Rent, Chicago, and Wicked. NCIS airs Tuesdays at 8pm on CBS.
