On the Dr. Ken episode “Dicky Wexler’s Last Show,” Ken’s (Ken Jeong) favorite comedian, Dicky Wexler, happens to be a patient. Unfortunately Dicky’s cancer has returned and he might not make his final standup show.
Dicky Wexler is portrayed by George Wyner. The veteran actor has appeared on so many TV shows it’s difficult to choose which to mention — Hill Street Blues (Deputy D.A. Irwin Bernstein), Columbo, The Bob Newhart Show, Soap, Sanford and Son, Charlie’s Angels, Kojak, M*A*S*H*. Most recently Wyner’s had recurring roles on The Mentalist (Dr. Steiner) and Desperate Housewives (Dr. Rushton). Wyner is also well recognized for his roles in the Coen Brothers film A Serious Man (Rabbi Nachtner) and Mel Brooks’ Spaceballs (Colonel Sandurz) and To Be or Not To Be. Dr. Ken airs Fridays at 8:30pm on ABC.
