Former Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Cheryl Tiegs commented on full-sized model Ashley Graham on the current cover. Tiegs doesn’t believe Graham is “healthy.” Tiegs lumps all bodyweight problems together: “Being anorexic/bulimic/overweight all connected to health problems. I want all to be as healthy as they can.”
Tiegs told E! News: “I don’t like it that we’re talking about full-figured women because we’re glamorizing them, and your waist should be smaller than 35 [inches].” She added, “That’s what Dr. Oz said and I’m sticking to it.” Dr. Oz actually says: "To maintain optimal health, your ideal waist size should be less than half your height. For the average 5’ 4” woman, waist size should measure 32 inches or less. The waist of an average 5’ 10” man should measure 35 inches or less." Dr. Oz hadn't made any specific comments about Ashley Graham's waist size.
