Delivering a tremendous sense of relief to Americans who don't hate Mexicans, Muslims, or Rosie O'Donnell, comedian and sometime TV pageant host Steve Harvey announced Donald Trump as the new President of the United States. Harvey's announcement immediately ended the idea that Trump would actually be the president. A crew was quickly called in to remove the crown from The Donald's head, where it had taken just seconds to become inextricably attached to his hair. Nevertheless, removed it must be. The card Harvey read from actually says something else.
In another recent case of mistaken identity this week, Harvey announced that Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutierrez, had won the title of Miss Universe, before returning to the stage to tell the audience and the contestants that he'd made a horrible mistake -- and that the real Miss Universe was Miss Philippines, Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach. Live television has its risks.
