On The Middle episode “Thanksgiving VII,” the Heck family is forced to forgo Thanksgiving as Frankie (Patricia Heaton) has to work. In order to pay the bills, Frankie returns to the historic Heritage Village to once again portray an overworked woman from the 19th Century. She’s not happy about her ironic role and then she meets Sheila on the job, a woman who takes her job very seriously.
Sheila is portrayed by Faith Ford. The Louisiana-born actress is best known for her roles on Murphy Brown (Corky Sherwood), Maggie Winters (Maggie), Norm (Shelly Kilmartin), and Hope & Faith (as Hope, Kelly Ripa was Faith). Fun facts about Ford: Before her big break, she worked as a perfume girl at Bloomingdale’s, and was a former roommate of Jane Leeves (Daphne on Frazier, Joy on Hot in Cleveland). The Middle airs Wednesdays at 8pm on ABC.
