On CSI: Cyber, hackers inject malware into a hospital’s Emergency Room network in Dallas. That means the hackers control the lives of all people reliant on networked medical devices on that floor. That’s approximately 175 people. When CSI: Cyber's Avery (Patricia Arquette) and D.B. Russell (Ted Danson) arrive on the scene, they instruct Dr. Colleen Marks to relocate anyone who doesn’t absolutely need ER services to another hospital. She says she can do that, and pay the hackers the ransom money. Avery advises against it.
Dr. Colleen Marks is portrayed by Lauren Stamile. She’s best known for her roles on Grey’s Anatomy (Nurse Rose), Community (Professor Michelle Slater), Burn Notice (Agent Pearce), Scandal (Carla), and the most recent TV series Complications (Bridge O’Neill). CSI: Cyber airs Sundays at 10pm on CBS.
