Parties stink in Brampton, Ontario -- and for that Alessia Cara can thank her lucky Canadian stars. The 19-year-old newly minted star broke out with a killer cut about how lame a party was --"Here." As Cara told Taylor Swift recently, it's "such a miserable song for a first single." The "Here" tale of teen angst, dissatisfaction, misery, woe and one kid vomiting in his cup however is now actually a hit at parties. (Oh the magic of a good beat and great voice.)
"Here" was on Cara's debut EP, Four Pink Walls, which caught Taylor Swift's attention. (Though it's not clear whether Taylor Swift liked it because she's been to parties like that, or because she hadn't.) Swifty swiftly introduced Cara to the Swifties by putting the tune on her list of songs that make life awesome (see below). Cara even got to perform with Swift on Halloween weekend. The only downside is where Cara's going to find her artistic inspiration in the future. It looks like she's going to be invited to much better parties from now on. Alessia Cara's new album is out this week -- it's called Know It All.
