Dad-trepreneur Brian Kleinschmidt goes on Shark Tank to pitch his potty-training product, EZ PeeZ. It’s a prototype of an adjustable toilet lid so kids can sit on any sized toilet designed for adults. The tagline is: “Flip Your Lid.” When Mr. Wonderful Kevin O’Leary voices his opinion -- the product doesn’t solve a problem -- Kleinschmidt makes a dig at O’Leary about asking his mother for $10k to start his first entrepreneurial endeavor. Mark Cuban turns to O'Leary, “You asked your mom?!” Barbara Corcoran chimes in, “And she gave it to you?!”
But as usual, Mr.Wonderful gets the last laugh, “Yeah, but it wasn’t for a toilet seat.” All the sharks chuckle. O'Leary continues: “If she looked at this, she would say I’m not going to give you any money because it’s a bad idea.” He tells Kleinschmidt, “Brian, let’s close the lid on this.” Think the dad-trepreneur will take O'Leary's advice and ditch the idea? Shark Tank airs Fridays at 9pm on ABC.
