Joseph Bommersbach aka Blind Joe started singing when he was a 3-year-old little boy on a farm in North Dakota. He started playing the guitar when he was five. His grandfather, an accordion player, was his mentor and inspiration. And now Blind Joe is on Team Shelton on The Voice! He said his blind audition was nerve-wracking. “I’m not built for competition at all,” Blind Joe told local radio station KQDJ’s Warren Abrahamson.

Rumors abound in Fargo about the country-turned-pop diva Taylor Swift and Blind Joe performing together. Swift is scheduled to perform at the Fargodome on October 12 and she’s known to invite local celebrities on stage. Abrahamson asked Blind Joe about the rumors. “I haven’t heard anything from Taylor’s Swift camp,” he said. “But, man, that would be cool.” Blind Joe will square-off with Blaine Mitchell during the first battle round (Oct 11). The Voice airs Mondays at 8pm and Tuesdays at 9pm on NBC.
