Nikki Alexander is the “mama bear” on the new reality TV show, It Takes A Sister. The 32-year-old lives with her four younger sisters: Jenni, Erika, Kortnee and Meagan. Yes, all under one roof and with their kids. That’s four sisters, eight kids, three dogs, and Meagan’s ex-boyfriend Dre who works as Nikki’s assistant. Nikki is now the owner of a boutique clothing store in Knoxville, Tennessee called Heaven on Earth.
Nikki is the famous one of the Alexander sisters. She was the winner of the first season of Flavor of Love (2006). Flava Flav nicked her “Hoopz”. Nikki also won the reality show I Love Money (2008). In 2010, she started to date and got engaged to basketball player Shaquille O’Neal. They lived together in Boston when Shaq was with the Celtics. They broke up in 2012. In the trailer of It Takes A Sister, Nikki says of Shaq: “We had a really bad breakup, and it was like getting hit by a semitruck.” One of her sisters asks if she still has feelings for him. Let’s put it this way: “her journey after the breakup will be central to the show.” It Takes A Sister airs Tuesdays at 9:30pm on Oxygen.
(Fun fact: During their relationship, Nikki asked Shaq to participate in a Harvard sleep apnea study due to his snoring.)
