On Real Housewives of New York City, Carole Radziwill meets with a medium who says she can hear the spirit of a deceased husband. It might be Carole’s husband, Anthony Stanislas Radziwill. They met on the job, while working as TV producers for ABC News. They married in 1994 at the Radziwill East Hampton estate. Anthony was the only son of Prince Stanislas Radziwill of Poland by his wife Lee Bouvier, who was the younger sister of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.
The couple discovered “a pea-sized bump on Anthony’s chest” during their honeymoon in Australia. Three months later, a scan showed the cancer had spread. Twenty-one more small tumors were found in Anthony’s lungs. Anthony Radziwill died in 1999, just days before the couple’s fifth wedding anniversary, after a long battle with cancer. He was 40. Carole was 36. Carole Radziwill details much of her marriage and grief in her memoir, What Remains: A Memoir of Fate, Friendship, and Love. Real Housewives of New York airs Tuesdays at 9pm on Bravo.
