Outside of Atlanta is a suburb called Locust Grove. It’s the setting of Bravo’s latest reality TV show Mother Funders. The stars are mothers who volunteer with the Parent Teach Organization (that’s PTO fool, not PTA) of their children’s public elementary school. These Mother Funders are SERIOUS about raising money to support the school and their children’s education.
Carla Stephens, the president of the PTO, runs the organization like a Fortune 500 company. The big problem is, no one is being paid to work for her, and she can’t really fire anyone…although she can (and does) put parents on “probation.” Stephens is also the mother of two boys, Evan and Ryan, wife to husband Jesse (of 22 years), and a successful entrepreneur. Oh, and she always looks fabulous. Mother Funders will air Sundays at 9pm on Bravo.
