The indie pop band Walk the Moon is composed of four guys from Cincinnati – singer/keyboardist Nicholas Petricca, Kevin Ray, Sean Waugaman, and guitarist Eli Maiman. They’re known for their “goofy brand of synth-heavy pop songs.” The songs on their latest album, Talking Is Hard, is no exception.
ArtForProgress compares the hit We Are the Kids to Taylor Swift’s 22. “However, instead of taking TSwift’s route of making fun of exes and dressing up like hipsters, the men of Walk the Moon shout at cops, howl at the moon, rip holes in their shirts and get mud on their sneakers in this slower jam.” Watch Walk The Moon perform "Shut Up and Dance" on The Voice, Tuesday, May 12 at 8pm on NBC.
