Before securing his place on The Voice’s Top 5, singer Sawyer Fredericks went home (upstate New York) to perform for his hometown fans. The star of a small town parade, Sawyer sat high in a carriage pulled by a team of Clydesdales. The Fonda-Fultonville High School marching band took him to the Fonda Fairgrounds were more than 4,000 people waited to hear Fredericks sing live.
According to the Albany Times-Union, Sawyer said on stage: "I cannot believe this. It's so amazing," The paper reported that the soft-spoken singer "giggled nervously as tween girls shrieked 'Will you marry me?'" He was later presented with a key to the city and a lifetime pass to the Fonda Fair. The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
