The inscrutable Los Angeles Clippers went up 89-70 with 2:35 left in the third quarter. TV viewers who had just sat through the Cavaliers blowing out the Bulls 94-73 had a right to think okay, two boring games tonight, I'm turning in. Fans who said that aren't too familiar with the LA Clippers. That 19-point lead didn't last, as the Rockets roared back to beat LA -- and not just by a little. They whupped 'em 119-107. 40-15 in the 4th quarter.
Los Angeles was at home when it crumbled -- the town hasn't been this stunned since the Sony hack. Game 7 is in Houston on Sunday. Scariest part for the Clippers is that the Rockets came back mostly without James Harden, who shot only 5-of-20. Corey Brewer had 15 of his 10 points in the 4th quarter, while Josh Smith had 14 in the quarter. Dwight Howard had 20 points and 21 rebounds in the game.
