David Guetta is the French DJ who will perform “Hey Mama” with Nicki Minaj at the Billboard Music Awards (May 17, 8pm on ABC). Guetta first achieved mainstream success with his 2009 single When Love Takes Over with vocals by Kelly Rowland. Billboard crowned the song “the number one dance-pop collaboration of all time.”
The 47-year-old Guettta got married in 1992 to socialite and night club manager Cathy Lobé. They have two children — an 11-year-old son, Tim Elvis Eric, and a 7-year-old daughter, Angie. In March 2014, after 22 years of marriage, the Guettas filed for divorce. Although the divorce has been finalized, they are reportedly still having a difficult time dividing their assets – a $30 million fortune. Guetta will be making more money this summer as he will headline Tomorrowland’s sister festival, TomorrowWorld, this summer.
