Chord Buddy is a colorful plastic device that attaches to the fretboard of a guitar. With its easy-to-use tabs, beginners can learn chords and how to play the guitar in just two months!
Chord Buddy inventor Travis Perry seems like a nice guy. He's passionate about music and education. After appearing on Shark Tank (he got a deal with Robert Herjavec), sales soared. But then Perry expanded his product line with Math Buddy, to help kids learn math. The problem is, as Herjavec will point out on Beyond the Tank (May 15, 9pm ABC), Perry "put his faith in government and politicians to buy the product. While politicians may be enthusiastic, that’s no guarantee of a product being purchased for schools. And Perry had no 'plan B' on selling the education system."
