Matt McAndrew was the runner-up on Season 7 on The Voice but he’s living his life as if he won. McAndrew lost The Voice to Craig Wayne Boyd, but McAndrew’s original song “Wasted Love” opened at #14 on Billboard’s Hot 100 list and sold 209,000 units – the highest mark ever achieved by a The Voice recording artist to date. The studio version of the song reached the top 10 list on iTunes.
During his return performance, try to get a close look at McAndrew’s wrist. After getting a deal with Republic Records (home of Drake, Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj, Nickelback) in February, he had his mentor Adam Levine draw The Voice checkmark on his wrist and made it permanent with a tattoo. The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
