Students at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore say no thanks, Chick-fil-A. The Hopkins student government approved a resolution that makes Chick-fil-A unwelcome to do business on campus. The resolution states that Chick-fil-A’s former CEO Dan Cathy “has publicly stated divisive statements against the LGBTQ+ community.”
The students are concerned that not only current students but also “prospective students, staff, faculty, and other visitors who are members of the LGBTQ+ community” or allies of the community would be subjected to the “microaggression of supporting current or future Chick-fil-A development plans.”
