Dream Teamer, Hall of Famer and Utah Jazz legend John Stockton's 5'11" son David Stockton signed a contract that gives him a chance to stay with the Sacramento Kings through the 2015-16 season. A 165-pound guard, David Stockton had performed well in the D-League for the Reno Bighorns and was called up to the Kings on 10-day contract in late February.
Both Stocktons--father and son--played college ball at Gonzaga. The Kings will give David some time as the season winds down, and don't be surprised if the Allen Iverson-sized guard scores some points. The Kings press release said Stockton "averaged 20.1 points (.461 FG%, .398 3pt%, .824 FT%), 4.2 rebounds, 9.4 assists, 2.5 steals and 30.5 minutes per game" in the D-League. Note: the team with the best record in the NBA, the Golden State Warriors, starts a backcourt featuring Steph Curry and Klay Thompson--whose fathers both played in the NBA. Get to know Stockton here.
