Stoners who are also efficiency nuts will rejoice at the news that the founders of Ben & Jerry's would love to put weed in their company's ice-cream, thus allowing you simultaneously to get high and kill your munchies in one sugary haze. In a discussion with Huff Post Live that touched on the topic of legalizing marijuana, Ben Cohen said that combining weed and ice cream is practical. "Makes sense to me ... combine your pleasures."
While his partner, Jerry Greenfield, thinks legalizing marijuana "is a wonderful thing," he doesn't foresee a cannabis edible flavor. “If it were my decision, I’d be doing it,” he added, but "wiser heads at the company" would probably not allow it. Ben & Jerry's -- makers of ice cream with stoner-friendly names like Cherry Garcia, Hazed And Confused, Bonnaroo Buzz, Phish Food, and Half-Baked -- is owned by the notorious buzzkilling Unilever.
