American Heritage High School quarterback Torrance Gibson has committed to play at The Ohio State University in 2015. Gibson, rated the nation’s No. 2 high school athlete by ESPN, chose Ohio State over LSU and the University of Miami. Miami coach Al Golden offered Gibson a scholarship when he was in the 8th grade. Auburn and Tennessee were vying for his attention too, but they already had two quarterbacks in their 2015 recruiting classes.
Buckeyes will have to wait and see if Gibson will play as QB. Some say his 6’4”, 200 lbs. frame and 4.4 40-yard-dash speed “would be better suited at wide receiver.”
