A mysterious tweet–“Nothing Stays in the dark 4ever”–that many believed came from The Cosby Show actress Lisa Bonet has been deemed a fake. Speculation swirled that the cryptic tweet was a public condemnation of Bill Cosby by the actress, whose opinion has been much in demand since the Cosby scandal heightened. Bonet left The Cosby Show earlier than the other original cast members and hadn’t attended reunions for the show. Naturally people are reverse engineering reasons for her departure. Ms. Bonet is, and was, a very attractive woman who was around Cosby often during the show’s filming.
Bonet’s talent manager Jillian Neal told The Wrap on Sunday that “I can assure you that is not her Twitter account and I have had the account suspended.” That won’t quiet those who believe Phylicia Rashad, who famously played Cosby’s wife on the show, and Bonet, his fictional daughter, might have more to say about Cosby than they’re saying. Are they obliged to say what they know?
