Here are three stunning minutes of video by Danny Cooke, who traveled to Chernobyl to work on a 60 Minutes segment that revisited the site of the world’s most famous nuclear disaster. Using a DJI Phantom 2 (GoPro3+) and Canon 7D, Cooke captured an essential portrait of the place. The music is called Promise Land by Hannah Miller.
As Cooke, who was just a year old when the disaster struck in 1986, writes: “There was something serene, yet highly disturbing about this place. Time has stood still and there are memories of past happenings floating around us.”
