Funnyman Adam Sandler has the lead in the new dramedy film, The Cobbler. He plays Max, a “sad sack” hard working man who repairs shoes in the same New York shop that has been in his family for four generations. Life is passing him by. He’s alone with the exception of his elderly mother for who he cares for.
When the electricity goes out, he’s forced to use an heirloom sewing machine that “allows him to step into the lives of his customers and see the world in a new way.” The first life he slips into is Method Man. Directed by Tom McCarthy (Station Agent), The Cobbler co-stars Steve Buscemi, Dustin Hoffman and Ellen Barkin.
