Marvel released the first trailer for its 2015 film Avengers: Age of Ultron and it nearly broke the Internet. Of course that’s an exaggeration but the trailer was viewed 34 million times in its first 24 hours. To give you greater perspective, in 2013, Marvel’s trailer for Iron Man 3 got 20 million views.
Marvel and its family at ABC-Disney clearly know how to market movies. During the October 28 episode of the ABC TV show Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., new Avengers: Age of Ultron footage will air. Ultron fans will have yet another reason to tune-in to ABC on November 9 as a third sneak peek will be revealed during the show Marvel 75 Years: From Pulp to Pop! Fans don’t mind being pulling along by the Marvel-ABC-Disney chain. As Yanin wrote in response to the trailer: “Whoever is handling marketing on this thing is a genius. Immaculately planned.”
