One of the most challenging NASCAR events is the Oral-B USA 500 Sprint Cup race. It’s a 325-lap event around an old, fast and slippery 1.5 miles of Atlanta Motor Speedway asphalt. (The old pavement makes the cars slip and slide.)
Driver Danica Patrick, driver of the No. 10 GoDaddy Chevrolet SS for Stewart-Hass Racing, is in hot pursuit of the Cup. She’s not intimidated by the old asphalt or anything else. Patrick told MotorSport: “It’s interesting how the track handles with the old pavement and then how it changes as the night goes on. It’s a tough place to master, but it can be done.” The race will be held Sunday, August 31, and begins at 7:30pm.
