The Ant-Man footage that Kevin Feige brought with him to Comic-Con last month set things buzzing--or whatever sound ants make. And now there's word that the Kevin Rudd-Michael Douglas-Evangeline Lilly-driven movie has started production--and added some stars including Mad Men's John Slattery, Judy Greer, Neil Hamburger and Bobby Cannavale.
Director Peyton Reed tweeted the go news in the simplest way possible--with a nice little nod to Steve Martin in his wild and crazy guy phase: "LET'S. GET. small." What's smaller than an ant? Or what superhero is, anyway? Reed takes over a long-troubled project that could learn a lot from ants--from their organization and determination to get things done. And Reed is just the man for the Ant-Man job. He has a history of delivering excellent product in a variety of genres--and always bringing on the comedy. The brief glimpse that Feige showed at Comic-Con in August showed that humor will be central to the Ant-Man world.
Alright, gang. Today is the day. LET'S. GET. small. #AntMan
