Model/actress/comedian and sometime nudist Jenny McCarthy is featured on the cover of this summer’s Playboy – the “massive double” issue – and in an eight-page layout within. This is her seventh spread for the magazine since 1993, when she launched her career as Playmate of the Year (and received an annual salary of $100k).
A self-described single mom and MILF, McCarthy, who was interviewed this week about the centerfold by People, mentioned that her 10-year-old autistic son’s tuition was “really expensive this year.” That, plus last month, on air, she told shockjock Howard Stern: “my son is in therapy over my split from Jim Carrey.” Everybody knows therapy ain’t cheap either. (The celebrity couple dated for five years and split in 2010.) So besides baring all for Hef and friends, this summer McCarthy takes over as host of NBC’s reality TV show “Love in the Wild,” where single men and women are paired into couples, compete in challenges, and winners choose partners for future “survival of the most compatible” challenges. Last couple standing gets a trip around the world, or therapy, or – if they want – nudity, which is easier.
