Jacob Burris, campaign manager for congressional challenger Ken Aden of Arkansas, came home to discover his family cat mutilated, its head bashed in and an eye hanging from its socket. Painted in large letters on the dead pet’s body, the word LIBERAL. One of Burris’s four children discovered the corpse on the front porch of their house.
Candidate Aden is an Iraq war veteran, an infantryman in the 82nd Airborne who saw repeated combat action on the front. He supports, among other things, a woman’s right to choose.
